Hey Reader!
The average mom takes over a thousand photos a month—
and prints less than five. 😳
Most photos never leave the camera roll.
They get buried between screenshots, blurry duplicates, or that one you meant to delete.
They are slowly collecting digital dust.
And honestly? That clutter weighs on us. Creates a small, buzz of busyness & anxiety.
Just like the piles around the house do.
Despite old Mr. Groundhog seeing his shadow on Monday, Tuesday morning, I cracked open the windows and started spring cleaning ... the physical kind.
We vacuumed. We potted flowers. 👩🏻🌾🧹
I finally tackled those piles that had been staring me down since January (err … December if we’re honest.)
I felt like a 6-year-old dragging my feet, when I was getting started.
But when it was done?
Lightness.
Control.
A fresh start.
I could breathe again. 😮💨
And that same feeling is waiting for you when it comes to your photos.
No guilt. No “when I finally get around to…”
Just a simple system to get your photo life back in order.
Here’s the method I live by during spring cleaning season (and honestly, most seasons where 'overwhelm' starts to creep in):
Choose ONE photo space:
• One month from your camera roll
• A desktop folder
• That box of prints on the top shelf
Set a 15-minute timer.
Work through that one small section quickly. Sort through them. Heart your favorites. Drop them into a folder labeled with the correct month & year. Toss any that are trash/accidental photos/screenshots. Go off your gut feeling. No second-guessing.
When the timer ends, stop. You’re done.
Congratulate yourself. Repeat tomorrow.
In 12 days, you can be caught up on sorting all of 2025’s photos!!
In a month, you could be caught up on 3 years of photos!! 🎉
Talk about a sigh of relief!
I rounded up my favorite ways to give your photo stash a spring refresh. On the blog, I'm covering:
- ⏲️ The 15-Minute Photo Sweep that’ll finally help you tackle your camera roll chaos (no shame, no stress—just a timer).
- 📂 The 3-folder system I swear by to organize a *year* of photos in the simplest way—without deleting your memories.
- 🚫 The #1 mistake that bottlenecks your printing process and keeps your photos from making it to your walls (and how to fix it before spring minis arrive).
- 🖼️ How to go from scrolling through 6,732 photos to curating a handful you’ll actually frame—with a bonus cheat sheet to make it brainless.
- 📲 And the simple 4 steps to set up for you 2026 photo system!
You can tee it up in a tab here:
And if you’re ready to add fresh, frame-worthy photos (that you are in!) to the mix?
➡️ My Spring Mini Sessions are officially open for booking.
They’re short, sweet, and give you new favorites you’ll want to print.
As always, hope this helps!
See you here same time next week! Until then, I’m off to make a to-do list of every drawer, folder, and forgotten shelf I can 15-minute clean before the caffeine wears off.
Warmly,
