It’s a not-so bizarre little piece of advice, that you’ve probably heard before:
“Get in the photo with your children.”
Your children see you differently than how you see yourself.
You might notice the tired eyes or the way your hair isn’t quite how you’d like it—but your kids? They just see mom. The one who sings their favorite lullaby, kisses their scraped knees, and makes the ordinary feel magical. 🥰
One day, they’ll want to look back and see you in the story of their childhood.

18 Mother’s Day goes by fast … so do tiny hands. This isn't about being perfect, or having it all together before you take the pictures. Kenny Chesney knew what he was talking about… you blink and they’ve grown. 🥹
Here’s the scoop:
I hosted the first-ever BGP Motherhood Event two years ago … and let’s just say it was a HIT! Spots sold out fast & I was non-stop shooting for quite a few hours!
It was a blast & as dreamy as it could be … lots of flowers, the sweetest kiddos, beautiful moms in beautiful dresses, a flower bar, and a bottomless pink lemonade stand. 💛💐📸🍋
It was one of the BIGGEST highlights for me with BGP & it is a dream of mine to bring it back again!
But this year? There’s just simply no room in the calendar for it. As much as I wanted to bring it back, at every turn it felt like fitting a square peg into a round hole. 😕
So, I decided to let the 2026 Motherhood Event quietly pass by and hopefully bring it back next year …
… well, that didn’t quite work out.
The requests for me to host it again are coming in … from those who joined before & those who missed out alike!
And, I truly believe that having photos of YOU with your kiddos is far too important to skip out on a year.
And, I can’t leave you hanging.

Between working with the kindest families (and the sweetest senior!) and capturing the desert at its very best, I still pinch myself that this is what I get to call “work.”
