I’m still trying to catch my breath from the whirlwind response to the *fourth* Annual BGP Back-to-School Portrait Day in the first few days of opening it for booking! It's been a rollercoaster of excitement & darn it if I’ve not fallen in love with what I do all over again. So grateful I work with all you sweet mamas! 🥰
But hey, here's the thing: Even with all the FAQs on the event page, I thought I covered everything …
… turns out I’m NOT a mind reader & there are a few questions pouring in like sweet tea.
No complaints over here (re: the questions or the sweet tea): I’m so excited to serve a crew curious & eager to know more—not to mention mamas who take the time to scope out if this is the best decision for their family.

Q: What ages are welcome to attend the BGP Back-to-School Portrait Day?
A: Pre-K through high-school seniors are welcome to come and have their photo taken! Dads and kiddos too young to head off to school are also welcome to come and enjoy the event … bring the whole family!
Q: What will the event look like? How will it play out?
A: Good question! After purchasing your ticket, you will be sent a link to book your ‘time slot’ this is essentially a virtual way to hold your spot in line. BGP Events are very laid back and easy… most moms come a few minutes early, take their photos, and stick around to meet other moms & kiddos their same age!
It should be an incredible event & a fun way to celebrate the start of another school year! Think: green grass, duck pond, apple juice, happy kids, & good company
When it’s your turn up for the picture, we’ll say hi, get to know each other, and take a picture of your little one – most of the time it takes about 2 minutes or less to get a good picture of your kiddos and then on to the fun part of the event – l like to keep it quick, fun, and easy … especially for our little learners.

Q: What if I’ve never had my photos taken by you before or attended a BGP Event in the past?
A: Well, you’re in the right spot! I welcome all newcomers! When it comes to choosing a family photographer I recognize it is a big decision since this is somebody who would be working closely with your family and with your children… I don’t take that lightly! These BGP Events are the perfect ‘meet and greet’ type opportunities — come and say hi! Whether you come to enjoy the whole event and soak it all in or just pop by for a quick picture, I would love to meet you and your kiddos in person!
P.S. Carolyn was worried because we had never met in person before either and it only made her kiddos more excited for family photos in the fall ...

Q: We homeschool, can we still attend The BGP Back-to-School Portrait Day?
A: Yes of course! You’re in good company too! We have plenty of homeschoolers join us as a fun way to kick off and make the start of the school year extra special! I was homeschooled too and so I love being able to cheer on other homeschool families!
Q: Yikes, I just don’t think I can spend that right now!
A: This is the most affordable way you’ll find to work with me; $22/kiddo. If you think about it: $22 for a photo that will be enjoyed truly for generations for less than a latte and lunch (+ tip), a Madewell cotton t-shirt, a pair of jeans on clearance at Target, a tube of foundation, or something you add to your cart to get free shipping.
A: Totally understandable! If it is a matter of timing on the day of the event, you could honestly come in, take a photo, and be on your merry way in a matter of 10-15 minutes. While I would love it if you want to stay and meet other families, I do understand the challenge of coordinating busy schedules… so doing a quick pop by is totally fine!
If the date doesn’t line up with your schedule for this time, you will be missed. However, I do host BGP Events quite frequently. By sticking around on my email list, you’ll be one of the first to hear about the next BGP Event that I host.
Q: Do you offer refunds?
A: I do! If you’re not happy, I’m not happy. If you attend the event and receive your photo back, and don’t love it; before you download your photo(s), send me an email to let me know how I can improve, and I’m more than happy to buy it back!
