Hey Reader,
Coming to you from under the pines! I wanted to send this to you lickity-split before I pull my hair up in a pony and start popping kettle korn all weekend for the Labor Day Art Show.
The old-timers here love to see the up-and-coming generation working hard at a ma & pop booth … and honestly? I love it too.
But if you’re anything like me, you’re physically present this weekend... and mentally? Already halfway into fall!
The summer sun’s slowing down, the kids are back in school, and if you close your eyes, you can almost smell sharpened pencils and cinnamon-apple candles burning. 🍎✏️
We’re in that sweet in-between season... summer hasn’t fully said goodbye, but monsoon season & the release of the PSL have already talked me into painting my nails chocolate brown. 🤎☕️
If there’s one thing I hear from moms all the time, it’s this:
“It can be so hard to find time for family photos, Bethie!”
Between…
Guessing outfits that actually photograph well
Searching for a location that looks effortless
Sweet talking a 7-year-old in a button-down for just a few more minutes!
Sorting 150 photos and deciding what prints or cards to order
Not to mention a husband who’s not exactly throwing confetti over taking family photos again
That’s why my 20-minute mini sessions are designed for busy families with young children.
And so to celebrate all the hardworking mamas, craftspeople, and hustlers out there (yes—you!) this Labor Day, I’ve cooked up a few sweet deals to help your get your family photos updated super easily this fall:
Book your BGP Mini Session by Tuesday, September 8th, and I’ll send you my NEW BGP Guide: “36 Dresses for Mom!”
You’ll get 36 shoppable dresses PLUS a color palette to go with each one, so once you pick your dress, you’ve already got the colors for everyone else locked in.
Then, after your session, you’ll also get:
🍂 30% off everything in the BGP Print Shop
Before, during, and after... It really is Family Photos Planned for You.
Use the code WORKER-BEE in the “tell me more” section when you book so I know to send over your “36 Dresses for Mom!” guide.
I’m pulling this little pop-up sale down Tuesday, September 8th!
(Not in the market for a session right now? Totally fine—just wanted to make sure you didn’t miss these goodies!)
I'm grateful for you & the opportunity you give me to get after my dream job, this Labor Day & every day.
Warmly,
P.S. If you want the BGP Guide: “36 Dresses for Mom!” be sure to book your mini session by Tuesday, September 8th! After that, I’m locking it in the vault, and I’m not sure if/when I’ll bring it back out. 🔒
This summer up north was so wonderful! It was the calm and quiet we needed after a busy Spring season.
Before we left I asked Caitee… “Should I tuck my camera away for a little summer nap or take it with me?”
“You always regret it when you leave it behind.”
Gosh, I love how she knows me.
I packed it along and set it off on a side table so it was easy to grab when I wanted, snap a photo or two and then put it away.
Oh boy, was it so freeing to let my camera sit there all summer. I took a handful of photos throughout the summer that I was so eager to come back to and edit. But for the most part I feel like I hardly even touched it.
I was shocked to find out this week that I took well over 1,000 PHOTOS!
And that was with me seriously wondering if I even touched my camera?! Caitee’s right, I would have absolutely regretted not taking it!
If it’s hard to find time for family photos, you’re not alone—I hear that from moms all the time. These mini sessions are designed for busy families with young children, so you can easily capture every milestone along the way.
**Only 5 spots left for the Downtown Gilbert Minis
→ You want a good, long session to give you the time & space to capture the photos you love without the hurry that comes with a petite session.
→ You want more than just the standard photo that any photographer can take -- you want photos that are unique to your family & tell your story a bit more.
→ You want photos that have more creativity, fun composition, and a nice mix of candid & posed photos ... those types of photos come by giving me more time to workshop & play around during the session!
